I debated whether or not to send this. It possibly most aptly demonstrates the dark reality of COVID in New York. Every hospital has at least one of these freezer lorries outside. As the city’s morgues have reached capacity, as have the undertakers, the grim task of managing the excess demand is mitigated by these containers. New York is the epicentre of the US COVID pandemic and the state governor Andrew Cuomo is hoping for a light re-opening of businesses focussed on outside tables for cafes, and pick-up only for other businesses.
