The late great Barry Cryer on Michael Parkinson, who has sadly died at 88
Michael told me he was doing a book signing. You have lulls, and he was having a cup of tea, chatting away. Michael said he was sitting there with a pile of books. Nobody was coming near him.
There were two women, a few feet away, making no attempt to approach him or get a book or anything. But they're talking about him and he can hear them. One said to the other, 'He doesn't take daylight, does he?'
