Come to the Villa Albrizzi, in the Veneto with Robert Fox

13-20 September, 2022

In 2016, Robert Fox led an Oldie trip in the north of Italy, whose towns read like a list of Shakespearean locations: Padua, Mantua and Verona. Robert knows the area very well, and will be the best ever guide for this area, which we Brits unwisely give scant attention. And this time, our small group will have the joy of staying in a wonderful villa.

Villa Albrizzi (www.villaalbrizzi.it) is set in a large 19th century park of 8 acres, with an all-weather tennis court and a large private swimming pool with changing house and pavilion. The property is located on the edge of Este, a small town South of Padua and 50km from Venice airport. It has been owned by the Albrizzi family for the last three centuries. The property comprises a large main house, a separate 18th century pavilion used as a ballroom or reception room, with its original 18th century furniture and stucco decor on the walls.
